Here’s the thing about writing, it is addictive. It starts out as just something you do to pass the time and then one day you realize it has become something you look forward too. It becomes consuming.
I enjoy the freedom that science fiction and fantasy allow, the freedom to express your creativity, your desires, your dreams. As inspiration shows itself, I jot things down for future use. A friend of mine, a fellow author, once advised me that I needed to focus on the task at hand. When I first started writing I had a bad habit of trying to write multiple stories at the same time. Of course, that means I never finished a story because I was always starting a new story. My friend suggested I start a working folder with no more than five stories inside then replace one when I finish one. I have a writing folder that I put outlines into and expand on as ideas and inspiration come to me. Why you ask, is this important?
My latest story is a pseudo-time travel adventure. Two modern-day SWAT officers find themselves being tested in the old west on their ability to defend the world of helpless aliens. Along the way, the officers are exposed to love, lust, and deadly conflict. Read the full story to see the outcome of this intriguing action-packed adventure.
