Storms and other shit that messes up your day. (story start)

Sorry for the delay in this post. It seems that this storm that is approaching Florida has really screwed up my schedule.

So, how has everyone been since my last post? I have been in great spirits and waiting for things to return to normal. I have not had the opportunity to write in a little bit and it is making me a little crazy. I find that writing something every day is a great way to express my feelings and frustrations with this crazy world. Hurricane Irma has given me a few interesting ideas for storylines and complications in a few current stories.

========================================================================

Imagine if you will a small town boy working as a cowboy in central Florida when a hurricane strikes his hometown. He settles down to ride out the storm and get a call from the neighbor stating that her daughter is trapped in the storm and needs help. The roads are impassable because of rising water and she doesn’t know what to do. The cowboy saddles up his horse and rides into the storm to find the missing girl. When he reaches the area where she is broken down he finds her car vacant. He tracks her to a clearing in the middle of some woods, where the tracks disappear. He finds her shoes and her purse but no sign of the girl.

His horse, Smoky, starts turning in circles and throwing his head, a sudden light illuminates the area around them. They freeze like statutes, then becomes weightless, floating into the sky surrounded by a bubble of purple light. As they rise into the sky he sees an undetermined shape surrounded by clouds, a slight purple glow emanates from the shape.
